As a result of your current and historical weather, I am FROM Iowa. My weather in the DC area is not a lot better, however it is supposed to be in the 50's this weekend.

Generic term for that patch of earth you see when looking out the window of the airplane you're in. Not a real place.

Wow harsh, I would love to sit here and defend Iowa but... I cant your all correct lol its a waste of space you have to drive thru to get somewhere good, in 3 years of riding my 1198s (currently for sale) all over eastern Iowa I've met 2 people with Ducati's one Davial and one who just lets his 999r sit in a store front window. There has to be more duc owners out there.

I used to live in Omaha, NE (just a really good arm's throw to Iowa). It certainly has its good and bad like all regions. It may not be a motorcycling haven but it has plenty of "gearheads". I remember going to some great local car shows in about every town around there. Heck, in the 90's the cops would turn a blind eye to burnouts when leaving these shows. The Knoxville Nationals Welcome to www.KnoxvilleRaceway.com :: The Official Site of Knoxville Raceway! are about as big as it gets for sprint car racing and the Nebraska and Iowa regions are a real hot bed for dirt track racing. Someday some of you may leave your precious, high priced coasts and may experience what Midwestern values and people are about. The friendliness and honesty is always a welcome change from the coastal slime permeating the East and West. If you talk to a stranger in Iowa they won't give you a look like you just puked on their shoes like so many do on the coasts. There is openness and humility among the people that is not often replicated on the coasts. I believe it is because of their spriitual background, work ethic and Midwestern values. Putting down a region you've never experienced shows a lack of understanding of the real world. I see this same braggadocio on other forums deriding someone because they store their car, cycle or boat during the winter because they don't live in FL or CA. I covered a lot of ground there. Knock yourself out.

Your mid-western "friendliness" is duly noted.
