Swing arm paint

I have a scratch on my swing arm, has anyone had to do some touch up paint on theirs and what did you use? I guess i could just use a Sharpie marker, but thought there might be a more proper way of doing it?

Thanks for your help!

I had a bolt come loose on my left rearset and it scratched the swingarm. I used a sharpee but it was behind the rearset. If it is in plain sight and you care than you'll need real paint.

Maybe you could get a carbon fibre swing arm cover.

That is what caused my scratch, these bikes should come with a bottle of Loctite

I am resurrecting this thread, any one knows of a matching paint for the swingarm? I have a scratch, it is small but it drives me crazy every time I see it

Looks like it's hard anodized. I would take it to a paint shop that has a scanner to try to match the color.

Buy a gallon and sell whats left in little 'touch up' bottles LOL
Thanks from pedrin

I think its a powder or epoxy coating.

Buy some Aluminium Black. They sell it and most gun stores. It will chemically change the aluminium black. Dab a q-tip in the Aluminium Black, and touch it to the bare aluminium after you degrease the spot with some alcohol. It will foam a bit, then rinse it with water.

Black.

Repeat if needed.

It won't work on all aluminium alloys, and it won't work on scratches on anodized aluminium if the scratch doesn't go all the way through the oxide and into the base aluminium.

Works great on swingarms.
Thanks from pedrin

Its just straight paint its not a good coating because it comes off easily.

Anyone know what touch up paint tried matt black didn't match that well.
