I figure it will be a good project for rainy weekends.
and have a lot new friends including me

p.s. Do you think we could add a channel for the lean angle too?

Thanks

Thanks Jarel, I see that's different than the LFX18A1-BS12 model that Motowheels sells for the Pani. So this must be the smaller one that weighs less.

even using a AIM like product, you can stil have the Duati laptime. the EVO4 carries its own antenna and uses that gps and derived speed data for most of its analyses.. it plugs into the Ducati ECU to retreive most of the other stuff ... the dash or Ecu still works when you leave the Ducati GPS antenna in place.. triggering the start/finish button shows you lap times...

this said , i would really be interested to see the use of dda+ on street use as, frankly , i can't see it...

Yes sir, why would you want one that weighs more!?!?

Jarel

Do you recommend this kind of battery for an hybrid use, track and road? I heard it can't crank the engine for too long, so in case you need to insist the battery will not stand as long as a regular one.

Thanks

I've had them on my last 3 bikes and had no problem, and we've sold lots of them for street bikes, same thing. Just make sure you have the correct battery tender/charger for it, I highly recommend getting the Shorai charger for the Shorai battery.

I didn't mean I bought it as a street toy. I got it yesterday and was playing around with it just to see what it does/how the software works. I wanted to log *something* vs waiting a couple weeks until the track.

However, a logger serves the exact same purpose on the street that it does on the track. Providing empirical evidence of what you are or aren't doing while you're riding. The pace may not be there but there are still consequences for poor technique. The data give you something to point at and correct and it's a lot easier to analyze what happened when you're sitting in front of your computer compared to sitting on your bike at 70MPH.

I use Harry's laptimer. Inexpensive $9.99 iPhone app purchase. If you stabilize the iPhone on your bike, you can download the track and get pretty accurate reads. Uses the GPS and accelerometer of the iPhone. I also read that it has a video appendage you can purchase that overlays telemetrics and videos natively. Have not tried it yet to report.

Iphone gps sampling frequency is 1hz, if I recall correctly. This is ok for occasional hobby, but for detailed track analysis you would want 10hz data sampling. You can get bluetooth gps receiver to connect to your iphone for a very cost effective solution.

Put it as attachment here so I can grab it, perhaps? I'll test it with my dashware.
In theory, if it can be converted to csv it should be doable.
