Another Leak! YES!

2012 base...Oil is collecting on the black plastic piece between my two termi cans (I don't know the correct name for this part). I have attached a pic of a leak from an old thread from another forum. The issue in this pic is exactly like mine. The other forum thread did not provide a cause...it was about fires.

I also noticed oil dripping down my right can.

Obviously it is going to the dealer tomorrow. Thoughts? Has anyone had this issue?

Not sure why it is leaking, but that black piece is referred to as the fan shroud.

My vertical head cover is still leaking even after I tightened it up in the winter. Looks like I'm going to have to replace it entirely.

check to make sure you don't have too much oil in the engine. Had that problem, it was coming out thru the breather valve cuz there was slightly too much.

+1, had the same problem on mind after the 600m service. Dealer overfilled it mine. If you can't get to the dealer right away, check your oil level and see if its overfilled.

+2. Not sure why dealers are so intent on overfilling the Pani crankcase, but it seems to happen more often than not.

Because the manual states 3.7 liters... I put in 3.5 and it was still overfilled. Next time I will put in around 3.3 liters

There is a different between dry and wet capacity.
The manual typically reports the dry capacity, while when you drain it for a normal oil change, there is oil left inside the engine.
I typically go blindly for dry capacity minus 1qt, look at the window, fill to mid level, crank the engine, and fill the eventual gap.

^ obviously... but this method of filling until you see something does not work. I poured in 3.5 liters (oil and filter drain/replacement) and I could not see anything in the window. It wasn't until I started the bike and got everything circulating that I saw anything
