Final cost after 2 sensors and the charge for the diagnostic was $290 and I did the work myself. It took roughly a few hours but only because I checked the wiring and connections to check for any other possible issues.

I do a simple mod to all my Panigales. The front cylinder sensor isn't a problem, but the rear one is right next to the cylinder head, and overheats if you're racing, or it's running hot in Summer. I use a self-adhesive fire-resistant heat shielding, a small square of it, and place it between the sensor and motor.
No more problems.

Hi Blue guy, possible to share a pic of how you installed the heat shield?

I run my Panigale in summer and my map sensor is spoilt. I need a solid solution

I recently had 1 of the map sensors replaced on my 1199 and the dealer tried to charge me for the part ($130) and 1 hours worth of labor ($125). This seemed like a very reasonable price so I'm not sure where the $700 price came from as mentioned in an earlier post. The shop guy didn't check if I had a warranty before quoting me that $255 total cost but my extended warranty took care of the total cost and he was apologetic for not checking that before quoting me. Dealer also delivered my bike (30 miles) free of charge. Great guys over there at Pro Italia!

One sensor spoilt must change both

Hi guys, diagnostics show that my vertical sensor is spoilt. Now a lot of people are telling me that if one sensor is spoilt I must change both, because if one sensor malfunctions the other follows.

How true is this? And how's the experience of people who just changed one sensor?

Appreciate your comments!
Thanks from Marmoot

MAP sensor problem sloved

Mine died too, took it to the Ducati dealer. He replaced the vertical MAP sensor without removing the gastank, 130 in total, for sensor and 1 hour labor cost
