how to tell if i need to replace the front tire

Ive got the stock supers on my 1199 and the rear is getting a little more squared off than i like so i want to replace it. Ive heard you can typically get 2 rears for 1 front but have no idea how to tell if the front is still good. It still has decent tread and no squaring. Im not sure if i should just replace both with a better life tire or just replace the rear. My riding is purely on the street. The bike currently has 5000kms

There are wear bars on the tire and when the tire tread gets to the wear bars, you'll need to replace the tire. Premature tire wear on the front could be from front fork springs being too soft -- verify with ohlins!

I would always point to what my old man used to tell me -- "if you have to ask yourself the question, you already know the answer"

If you think your tire needs replaced...it probably does!

If you have to guess, you change it.

That's standard for the OEM tyres, I'm running rosso 3 so should last longer.

Guilty as charged lol The closest ive got to corners is off ramps and there are a few i can take pretty fast but at the end of the day theyre still off ramps which are pretty uneven and gravelly. My riding is basically around the city with buddies.
