I actually just thought about that on the drive to work today. Thanks!
i know on the clutch theres the large rubber part that goes in first and then a ring thing that goes after which i think acts to add pressure to the rubber for a good seal. On the brake side i wasnt paying much attention because it was a screwdown cap. Do you guys know if the brake side has the same 2 part system? rubber and then the ring? Thanks

The parts guide from ducati website doesn't list the rubber part only the container and lid.

I have mine to full line and thats when undone and held straight up so doing it back up to the holder fluid is touching the lid and haven't had any leaks so far.

Probably not a good idea to not pay attention when you are working on your brakes.

Perhaps changed on the 1299 by my 1199 uses Dot 4. Even my old Brembo equipped 1978 Ducati uses Dot 4.

On the 1199 the front brake reservoir lid is held down with 2 long screws. Only the clutch and rear brake reservoirs are screw down. Never had a leak from any of them in 5 years.
