How to confirm the latest Up Map

Ok, so I have read the "OMG" stories about the new up map. I for one am not impressed what so ever. In fact, I beleive that the Termi slip on is better for raw horse power. So here is my question.

Did my dealer do something wrong and how would I confirm that I indeed have the latest version of the UP MAP. I am going to put the Termi UP MAP back onto the bike if there is no way of confirming the version.

Thanks,
Victor

Ok, the only difference is the presence of the Word Racing vs Racing EVO. I did not download the base back to the bike prior to taking it to the dealer so I am basically screwed with the UP MAP that they put on as the "best" performance. So note to you other guys. If you are considering the up map, download the map first so that it writes the current map back to the dongle. Then take it to the dealer. If you don't like the map, plug the dongle back in once you get home and you're back to what you had.

As previously stated before on the forum. Once you download the UP MAP the system puts the original/current program back to the dongle. THIS SUCKS!!

Ok, the way the dongles work are simply keys to unlock the maps on the ECU. If you had the upmap, you are just unlocking the "new" upmap setting with the dongle. I installed headers after the upmap and uploaded the new map with no issues. Bike feels better than before.

Are speaking of the up map for exhaust or the new Ecu flash? The ecu flash is done with a laptop at the dealer. No dongle.

I think he's worried the upmap would cancel out the ECU flash, this is not the case.

Just a note if anyone cares, I found this odd.

I had slips before flash. Used slip up map. Had flash, then installed the headers. The full up map wouldn't take until I tried using the slip up-map first. IDK if that's normal. Maybe you have to remove one to put the other on, just thought it was odd and worried me at first.

So this is an ECU flash not an UP MAP? So how do you confirm the ECU Flash version? I am guessing that unless you have the PC, you can't. Either way, I am not impressed with the "change" what ever form it takes and I guess I will have to take it back to the dealer to get the original version back. I sure hope that is an option!

Thanks for the information.

I couldn't find a way outside of subjectively on a test ride.

Dealer told me you can't. He can go online to see if you bike needs the update, like a recall by vin.
