1199 Superleggera Sticker kit on 1299?

Hi All,
Picking up my 1299S on friday ( can't wait, and reading the reviews is making the wait seem even longer ) and Im wondering if the Superleggera sticker kit for the 1199 will fit the 1299? I know the top fairing is a little wider but the kit is mostly side panels and seat?

Cheers,
Ben

I doubt it, as the fairing are different.

That's a shame, I like the look and having sold my 1199S Tricolore I think the solid red needs a bit of breaking up.

Why not come up with your own scheme and have decals made? Then you could personalize it and make it "your own". To me, making the bike "mine" is part of the fun.

I would do that, before trying to make my bike look like something it isn't. It would be like putting putting "Factory" decals on a base RSV4 or "R" decals on an "S". True motorcycle enthusiasts (who know your bike isn't actually a SL) would know better, and im sure have some colorful comments about it.

But of course, that is just my opinion. It is obviously your bike.

Love the SL scheme, still haven't installed my wrap...

Unless you don't paint it in SL red, there's plenty of room to differentiate from a real SL with the white and black applied. Check with Scott (srsigndesign) if he has some in the making or if he knows about the fitment!

I also still have not installed my SL scheme yet. Been sitting in the box from Scott since last year. I plan on getting it done within the next few weeks just to change up the bike's look a little.

I tried to check out his site for additional items out of curiousity, sadly, it appears to be down now.

Oh snap.

I will have to remove some of my tankslapper protection, still a little scared of
The vinyl install.

Let me know how yours goes!

Thumbs up Best paint perhaps?

BRT
If you are interested in a TRUE One Of A Kind (custom designed, and never made again for anyone) paint job, that is NOT through the roof expensive at all - PM me and we can discuss!

I see you are relatively new here and probably have not read or seen the threads from members who had their bikes done by my friend of 23 years, Sean Lezotte at his own company called Connecticut Cycle Refinishing (CCR) who specializes in Ducati more than any other bike, and has won TONS of awards for Best Paint (even one of mine he did won Best Paint too) so use the SEARCH engine here and see if you like the work.
I just did it for you and this is what I got back using his company name.

http://ducati1299.com/search.php?searchid=338303

All these threads have something of his in it - at least by name, and many are customers / members here who sent him their bodywork. What most guys do is keep their stock bodywork as is (since its WICKED expensive if bought from Ducati themselves!) and get a set of Sharskinz (IMHO best aftermarket bodywork for many reasons, which Sean can actually explain to you as well) and have him do whatever customized paint design on that so you don't ruin your stock stuff ya know?

I will even attach a link to mine which he did a killer job on what used to be the stock Ducati Matte Carbon Fiber front fender as well. Here is his site:

Custom Motorcycle Paint | Connecticut Cycle Refinishing

And if you are on Facebook ALL my bikes are on there as well, plus many members from here and Org. I have a whole bunch on my Mac too if you want to PM me your email.

I will say this. Scott from SR Designs does some serious kick ass work and if I was going to go the "sticker" route he would be the guy as Phil said. But me personally would rather have an UNREAL paint job that would be stared at by EVERYONE who takes a glance at your bike (not that they won't anyway!) And as I said, he makes a true promise never to redo your paintwork on anyone else's bike ever again so it truly is "One Of A Kind!"

Yes, I am advocating this guy NOT only because he is a VERY good friend of mine, but because his work is PREMIER BRT. Unlike anything you have ever seen, and I am sure many members can attest to this here as well - one of them being LJuice (Leon) who actually races his 1199s in WERA full time!.
Some members may Flame me for advertising CCR but screw it - he is one of the best Ducati painters in the US and doesnt charge anywhere near as much as most high end custom painters would do either! Enough said, sorry to jack your thread but figured it would be good to see the other side of things than just sticker kits my friend!

Meanwhile stay safe and keep it on one wheel!

Gunny out......................
