Don't if anyone has the answer here
Can a Tuneboy map be loaded on to an unlocked ECU ( ie no mobilizer ) reason I ask as I have an option to buy a NOS SSTK race harness this eliminates the ignition switch ABS etc, and will only work on :-
1. Corse SSTK ECU
2. Unlocked ECU re flashed to Corse SSTK spec'
I can obtained the unlocked SSTK ECU from couple of Euro sources but would like a custom Tuneboy map onto it so maybe someone here will know if this is possible, I believe the copy / unlocking is done with Rexxer ?

Thinking about purchasing Tuneboy, to get a feeling how it works I downloaded and installed the TuneBoy and TuneEdit program (TuneBoy and TuneEdit (Ducati Marelli ECU) full install version 5.0.0) from the Tuneboy website:

TuneBoy - Engine Management Systems

It worked, but when I tried to open the 1299 tunes provided at the beginning of this post, there is an error message saying "this is not a valid TuneBoy tune".

Is there a newer version which is not downloadable????

A bit strange to me.....

Is your bike stock? I'm not expert, but I'm pretty sure you need to start with the Ducati Mitsubishi version rather than the Ducati Marelli version.

yep, Panigale's run Mitsubishi ECUs. So your software needs to speak Japanese, not Italian :P

know that Paniagle has Mitsubishi ECU, my mistake.

Question to Tuneboy users? Did you order/purchase the kit directly from Tuneboy Australia/Wayne?

Wayne is talking about V5 Tunes for the 1299/Panigale R, but on the Tuneboy website you can only download a version 4.1.0 for Ducati-Mitsubishi ECU bikes.

Do you get the right software/mappings for the 1299 with the DUCATI TUNEBOY WiFi KIT (Tune and Cruise), because it's not orderable on the website, only for 899/1199?

WOW.. I did not know that "Wayne from Australia" was the entity behind Tuneboy

I used to own an E39 M5 and Wayne from "Powerchips" made quiet a name for himself on the BMW boards.. and by that I mean he made a name for being Rude, unprofessional and unresponsive.

Again, I do not own Tuneboy and don't know much about it, but I spent months dealing with the Tune his company provided for my E39 M5 and I would never buy any of his products again. Same goes for 90% of the users/owners on the E39 M5 Board.

That said, if this Wayne from Australia is not the same person as the Wayne who was involved with Powerchips, you guys can ignore this warning

Former E39 M5 owner myself. I remember that fiasco.

The very first post in this thread has a link to the v5 software... Maybe a little reading before you experiment next time will solve some of your issues?

It's not a link to the software, it's a link to the tune files (xxx.dat) for the 1299! I did read this thread from beginning, by the way.

It is 100% a link to the software and tune files. Not sure what else you need.
