1299 Superleggera Race Exhaust No Side Stand

Spoke with my dealer today and they confirmed with Ducati NA that when the 1299 Superleggera is fitted with the race exhaust it deletes the side stand. The road legal exhaust appears to be the same or similar exhaust on the old superleggera while the race exhaust is the fancy under tail Akraprovic. This news really puts a damper on my posing at the local coffee shop.

good point and info.

Jeez I did not realize or thought about that. I guess I just have to carry my rear stand on my shoulder around.

...I be happy to do that if I can have one!....but I'm a poor man!

I doubt this will affect most SL owners. I've seen 3 SL's in the wild and all were dedicated track bikes. Hell, one lives at Duc Austin and the owner only uses it for COTA track days.

Yikes... This seems odd. While I track my SL, I do a fair amount of street riding, as well.

Does not seem well thought out.

Is the side stand removed due to the routing of the exhaust, or just because of the different fairing used for the high mount exhaust? Might be worth looking into.

Also, I would LOVE to have that problem.
(Jealous of you superleggera owners)

There's a coffee vendor at the racetrack. That would work.
