DTC/DWC EVO Question

I just purchased a 16 1299S. I told the dealer I wanted the EVO update. How can I tell if they completed this? Is the start up screen different?

Thanks,

tR

My upmap was installed right away so I never saw the original screen. But I don't think there's a difference.

People are getting confused about the upmap (racing evo) dash screen and the 1299s anniversary evo electronics (updated TC and slide control)

I think the op is referring to the EVO DTC DWC. I don't think he'll see any difference on the dash after the update.

But is the EVO update available yet? My dealer said they are unaware of any new updates for the 1299's.

I believe the software is available. It is listed in Ducati's website under the accessories. I also got an email from Ducati, advertising the availability of the software for my bike ('16 1299S).

But... at $565, I have other modifications in line before I can purchase this software. Not even sure if I would feel the difference with my current riding capabilities and tracking once or twice per year.

Text from Ducati email: (translated via google translate from German)

"Get even more performance from your bike now For your 1299 Panigale S, an upgrade of the Ducati Traction Control software from Ducati dealers is now available as Ducati Performance Accessories. With the DTC EVO software, which was used for the first time at the 1299 Panigale S Anniversario, you can regulate and control the rear wheel slippage of your motorcycle even finer and more precisely. Contact your local Ducati dealer to update this perfect performance feature. The software upgrade is only available for the 1299 Panigale and 1299 Panigale S models of the MY 2015 and 2016 models."

This has been discussed at length if anyone is confused about what the "EVO" update is:
Ducati Performance Upgrade

To OP, I'd say you know if you have it because you will have paid for it and should have a receipt showing that you bought the EVO accessory upgrade. We haven't installed one yet, so I'm not sure if there is a dash message for it or not. Otherwise any "updates" you have would just be the standard ECU updates that are sent to the bike through the dealer DDS during routine services.
