Not much done on it today other than the Trak Tape I just reinstalled the nose fairing, removed the rear brake light switch and the right side vertical head cover. It was in my way so goodbye.

Thanks from flobrandx and youngR

Found something interesting while working on the bike today. The way the exhaust clamp was installed prevented the flapper valve from opening or closing. This kept the valve at the 3/4 open position. Oh what fun fixing an assembly line workers carelessness.

So right now the flapper valve motor and cable has been removed and the valve safety wired open.

I got my spare set of DP rearsets installed. A big thanks to endodoc for help with the one missing part I couldn't find.

I also removed the right side vertical head cover. I still have the left one to do when I install the safety wire valve cover bolts.

I finished up the day on her with safety wiring the sprocket nuts.

She's ready for her first trackday at Pacific Raceways on June 3. But there's still a lot more work to get her from trackday to racebike status.

Thanks from flobrandx and youngR

Why bother to delete side stand sensor, but leave the stand fitted?

I'm toying with getting back to racing again next year Flo. I do miss it.

The stand does come in handy if you're just trackdaying. It'll come off when it's prepped for racing.
Unfortunately sidestand sensors do mess up and a good mid corner bump can kill the engine so it's a wise precaution.
Thanks from flobrandx
