I Ride: '16 Pani R, 1098R Bayliss, KTM1090R.
Pani R - homologated exh too damn loud.

After getting a couple of warnings for noise last year on trackdays (105 limit),
a couple of guys suggested maybe a MWR filter and rapidbike would help
bring it down enough to be passable. Between that and the occasional short shift
near the sound meter, I thought that this season was covered.
It turns out that the tracks are upping their game a little and instead of one
monitoring point, they are now using multiple sensors over here, the result of
which is that even after changing my rpms/gear changes to try and help
(to the detriment of nearly 2 secs per lap) I was stopped riding yesterday.

So,it looks like it's exhaust change time.

Can anyone give any insight into the quieter exhaust options available?
Am currently looking at:
1, The akra race cans - does the baffle option actually make them quieter than stock?
2, New Termi Force full system (underseat) - have mailed termi for max db but nothing yet.
3, Zard underseat system - means changing the seat unit to allow fitment.

Any other suggestions would also be interesting. I am not looking for more
power/torque, as long as the bike is quieter and fuelling ok, then that's great.

Going with either of the full systems will mean occasional swaps back to road
bike will be gone, but I will bite the bullet if I am certain its going to work.
Otherwise it looks like it will be back to the 1098 and get rid of all things Pani.

Trouble you have is side exit , and they are at the limit. I'd go an under tail , plus you have the option of fitting anther type of can (s) . If you put in db killers it will kill your HP too. RapidBike is the go as it will adapt your A.F. to what ever you change on the bike. FM Projects have a rear exit similar to WSBK Akra's but much cheaper .... I have the forward exit , really loud, wish I had purchased these.

I've not seen a solution to this problem and although it pains me to say it I'm really hoping next years V4 is quieter.

I have an Akra full system for the 1199R that I'm buying off a friend but even with the baffles he struggles to meet the 105Db limit on noisy days and doesn't even try for the more restrictive days.

My man maths excuse for buying the BMW S1000RR for my road bike was that I could use it to get onto tracks like Spa which requires 10-15mph top speed sapping baffles on the 1199S and is probably not even possible on the 1199R in fast group and Brands Hatch that doesn't let non stock canned Panis at all even if they are the factory upgrade Termis.

In Norway, the Panigales have been given sine slack on the static tests because the static isn't representative for on track noise since we have side exit exhausts. We're still well within limits when we're actually on track...

This is drive by results. I was reading 107 in various sections of the track.
The R gets fun over 8,500/9000rpm. If you have to stay below that then its pretty docile and ultimately pointless as a track tool.

Yep, 112db for a static test at Snetterton, 102db limit. Allowed on track for a ride-by, allegedly 96db and never got pulled up........ flat oot If anything this tells you their testing methods are inconsistent and by all accounts inadequate.

Tried Ducati only days?
Thanks from royal

It was a Ducati only day.
There's about 6 of them per year here, but I already have another 10 trackdays booked
with mixed bikes. Whatever I decide to do, exh or build up the 1098, I have about
2 weeks before I start having to cancel days and lose money.

If you still have the flapper valve installed, set it half closed by hand for the test. Clamp or similar. Then remove afterwards

No static testing. Full circuit drive by monitoring, all day.
