carbon tank adhesive protector

Hi could some one please tell me the easiest way to apply the carbon tank adhesive protector. I'm a bit worried of stuffing it up.

I Ride: 15 Pani R ( I weep a little sometimes )
follow the directions to the letter using the prep pad and kneading the protector onto the tank, every square millimeter of it!. In addition, tape down the edges with blue masking tape overnight to give it time to set. I placed mine higher on the tank avoiding the tight bend at the crotch. This way it protects more of the area where I lay on the tank. I put paint protect film at the crotch and on the knee areas. This is the way I did it, your approach or preference may be different. The Ducati carbon finish protector looks great. Now I just need the racing fuel cap.

I Ride: 2015 Panigale R
I heated both sides of the protector gently before removing the adhesive backing with a hair drier to allow it to mould to the tank better/easier too.

Note: I SAID GENTLY!!
