You can totally do it! I bought my 1299 about 2.5 months ago and in down 25lbs. I told myself I would not go to the track unless I get down in weight. Plus they don't make race suits for fat guys like me. Need 10 more and I'll be happy. Track day in late July or early August.

This is exactly the right attitude. A lot of perceived comfort is down to the rider's fitness, strength and posture.

I already ran a lot to keep fit but bought a racing bicycle to help with my posture and core strength. 100 miles on 25mm tyres and a razor blade saddle over potholed roads is boneshaking and exhausting. Jump on the Panigale after that and it feels like a magic carpet. And twisting the throttle to get up hills is a lot easier than pumping those chicken legs!

After a couple of trackdays early in the year on he trumpet and a few spirited rd rides on on the Pani I concluded my triceps and lats weren't up to much. As a result I focused on those area in the gym. The result is things hurt less after a ride or trackday!

Squats would be one of the best exercises.

You rode it an hour and a half? That's pretty tough in my book. I've had about enough after half that.
