Both my R's are setup as race bikes and have never seen a public road. Between them they have 2,600 km's all either as track days or races. My run in procedure is to ride them as I would normally do in a race... for their entire lives. Have been doing that for my last few Ducati's and they all are going strong.

Each to their own I guess.

Might be doing a Leavenworth run on the 12th. Guess the plate and signals will have to go back on.

I think a lot of us forget that these engines have been run a couple times at the factory. So they are already partially broke in. I prescribe to be the first 200 - 300 miles of a progressively harder riding style. After the first oil change go out and ride it hard and often....

It also seems that we all tend to focus on the engine during break-in. Big mistake...There's a lot of other parts breaking in too. Transmission gears, clutch, chain, fork seals and brakes... The first 600 miles is especially important here. These are not Toyota's! You need to look the whole bike over really close after every ride when they are new to check for loose hardware, wiring, leaks, etc...

Humans are still involved building bikes and humansl make mistakes. IMO-It's your job to find these screw ups and the dealer to fix them. I've seen way too many newbies that have never even looked at the owners manual complain what a turd their bike is because they fail to catch small problems early and these problems turn into big $$ ones soon after. The same people have never changed plugs or fluids either and some don't even know which end of a screw driver to hold... To own a Panigale requires the owner to be really involved with the maintenance side
and not just the ride. Most of us know this but then there are some....

Just seen this as I've been away for a week or two. Awesome news, congratulations mate My ideal combination would actually be my R and an Aniversario for the road, but two R is big smiles!

Thanks Royal. It's nice to have another R to play with on the track and street While prepping the race bike. I still haven't ridden it on the street though. I might have to take a test ride on the BMW next week and let my lady friend take the R out and go for a ride.

Some pics from the Ridge finally. Taking it easy as it's the streetbike.

I also demo'd the BMW. To electric like for me. I kept hearing my bike behind me and that was music to my ears. When my friend passed me on my bike the sound was glorious. BMW just can't replace my Pani.

Awesome pics Twisted!! My stable is sorely missing a proper panigale at the moment. The FE can't come soon enough and your pics are making the wait that much harder
