just stopped by at the local dealer and the owner, who claimed he is putting 2016 order in 3 weeks, had NO IDEA what I was talking about (when I mentioned 959)

Not necessarily true in club racing. In Wera and ccs, the big bikes are unlimited OEM displacement. That's how the 1199 and 1299 are legal.

It's crazy, the middle weight model has a bigger engine than the original 916.

So my choice are now a liter bike....and a larger liter bike...This literally makes no sense. I love my 1199, but let's assume that the price points are similar to the 899 vs 1199.

Now I can get a 959 on the cheap, maintain liter like power, and load out aftermarket performance for the cost of a 1299.....just saying.

Maybe they'll bring back the 74? Bike for you Jarel. We do need a Duc for the 600 class

I agree, I want one! I'd take one even smaller if they'd make a new Supermono or something along those lines. I have a blast racing my Ninja 300, but it would be even more fun if it was just 20-30mph faster on the straights and said "Ducati" on the side!
Thanks from b9009b and The Avidmoto

X2. I'm over the engine displacements not matching the monikers and not having a middleweight is weird.

Exactly.. Like you said a 599???? I'd love a new 749R ish model... Also they should do a RC390/R3 competitor.. Ducati would kill that segment.

Yeah, but we were talking 899 I thought? 959 has no bearing on the big bikes or twins classes. I think b9009b just forgot how in the old days the 1000 twins ran with the 750 fours.
Thanks from Chaotic
