Heel guard options

Has anyone else found the standard heel guards damage your boots? What other options are there?

Normally it's the boots that damage the heel guards. With aluminum both boot and guard wear. My bikes have the DP Carbon guards. These wear more than the boot. You're always going to get wear from rubbing here.

I find the standard Allen key head bolts are the issue, as they trap my heal on the boots

Ditto on the CF ones which can be found just about everywhere, even Amazon. Matter of fact, they are also found in a number of different colors as well - like Red Carbon Fiber in case you wanted to break out the Bling?

Happy Hunting !

Just to clarify a bit, they seem to hook into the heel part of the boot and cut the stitching also trapping my foot

But only on the standard footrests, as it hasn't happened with the rearsets yet

Heel guard options

It's like the tip of the heel guard cuts into the seem of the heel piece not the sole of the boot
