Engine Oil usage in a Ducati Superleggera

Hello All,

Can anyone let me know in the group please, who has done above 750 miles (or above 1000 KMH) if your Super Leggera's have used any Engine Oil. If so how much?

Thanks

4800km, less oil than on my Tri.

I don't know how to answer this question without getting into ALL of the details (or raising lots of questions), but I'll sum up:

1) The original motor I had in the SL used oil like mad - down over a quart after 1,000 miles.
2) The replacement (factory) motor in my SL now is using the expected amount of oil (that is, barely any)

I have a 2015 Pani R so should be a similar motor. It used almost quart between oil changes over the first 1000 miles. The day I picked it up the tech told me that it would, he warned me to top it off after each ride (which I did). Now at 1890 miles and haven't added any over the last 500 miles. The rings seem to be seating in nicely.

Ducati sent out a memo to all dealers to warn SL and '15 R owners to checkout level every 300 miles.

Not to me they didn't, at least nothing from my dealer, and they have been
good about other info so far.
As for consumption, not had to put a drop in the '15R in 3500km.
Apologies to OP if heading a bit off topic.

This is what I was informed, also (but only after my motor seized).
