Lol, italians... the came wrapped in bubble foil, nothing else, no paper, no specs. Yep, I think you're absoultely right. When I finished reconfiguring my bike (clutch, blipper, exhaust, RB module, etc.) it shall get tuned by a pro.

LOL yes thats how they do it. Well I guess they figure if your going for this type of hardware that everything should be intuitive. Excellent plan on the tuning. To be able to take the whole bike down and spend half a day sorting it with the right diagnostics is invaluable. You being the master of finding all things cool (thanks for the tip on the JP throttle housing/switch) have you come across an alternative to the up/down QS? I have the GP shift on the Honda with the Translogic QS and I have a factory HRC QS and I like them a lot better than the microswitch mechanism. Last but not least what do you like for rear sets. I have a few sets of the DP and while the machine work is great, the articulation and plain bearing mechanics are not even close to the precision of the HRC units or the Sato's I use on the Honda. Thanks again sir

Alternative Gear push rod for the 1299: Yep, there's a friend of mine in Switzerland who did the measurements on the OEM rod and sent the specs to a strain guage QS manufacturer. I have to get in touch with him since I forgot the manufacturers name (it was not Cordona, I've them on the 1199, super product).
This guy was very unhappy with the 1299's shift rod and the manufacturer he went for must have been very happy to provide him with the first prototype for testing.

Rear sets: It's a bit a question of taste. Personally I like GiaMoto. There are trillions of threads in this forum about rearsets... Altough DucaBike makes great stuff, they seem to have bearing problems with their Panigale rearset. On one Pani I have Rizoma since 2012, very reliable and easy to install. I can't speak about GP shifting due to complete lack of knowledge. I guess if price doesn't matter, DP is still one of the best, but no Titanium bolts for this price is a bit sad.
The problem with the wider RH fairing of the SL and then the 1299 was actually first addressed by me, and GiaMoto made a wider brake lever according my drawings to solve this issue.
GillesTooling always forgot the brake light switch on their sets, that's a no-go for me.
The lightest rearsets I had in my hand are the OEM SL ones. But they are not adjustable at all. And not really crash proven

BTW: You can easily improve most rearsets by simple replacing the ball bearings with SKF ones.
