SL #1 for sale on ebay

saw this while perusing through eBay and it's pretty cool, albeit, kinda pricey for just a frame number

To a collector, that would be well worth the asking price. This wouldn't be the ideal purchase for someone who wants to ride the shit out of it or track it. Obviously it's going to appeal to a very small group of potential buyers but the fact that it's even out there to buy is pretty awesome.

Weren't the bikes with no number on the triple clamp pre-production versions?
Shouldn't SL#1 actually have a 1/500 on it and the true "first" SL is 0/500 and probably wouldn't ever show up for sale?

There were two or 3 of these for sale at Fraser Motorcycles in Sydney Australia. I do not know the frame numbers on them but at least one was ZERO kilometres.

I posted about it early in the year or late last year. Not sure then how many of these No number bikes there are.

I think Number 001/500 would be more valuable to a collector as there is only one of those. There are more than that of these un-numbered versions.

If it starts at 000/500 then would that mean that there is 501 numbered bikes ?

It either starts at 000/500 or ends at 499/500 something I read on an earlier thread

But look at the pic of the VIN....its 0001
