The question is, is it too much Ducati if you know what I mean? Its either that, or a new Doohan rep.
Looks good. Better buy it now as it will go up as your currency crashes when you Brexit.

I like Arai helmets, they fit my head very well and as I have destroyed two RX-7GP with an unintentional head/tarmac interface and walked away with no head damage I think I'll stick with them for now.

Helmets are one of those things that either fit you or they don't. The bottom line is to get one that fits properly, the graphics / colours are just a bonus after that.

Sorry, used a picture taken just starting corner exit, thought that was the best picture of the helmet...

Looking awesome: do you ride like that on the streets too? At the speed i ride in i could never get the opportunity to knee down.

You can get your knee down from 15mph to infinity...

I rarely get my knee down on the street, I'm short at 5' 7", oldish at 60 and don't hang off the bike much, so don't quite achieve, or want to, the same lean angles that come easily on the track.

Getting your knee down is no indication of how well or how fast you ride. Learn to ride smoothly and the speed will come.

I always judge myself, whether street or track riding by how many "Oh Shit" moments I have. On the track there's really no excuse for those as you are totally in control or your environment. I ride the A group and do more passing that being passed, so rarely am I a victim of a close pass.

On the street, there's just so much more stuff that can mess up your day, that's why you need to keep a little in reserve.

One of the big lessons I learned from doing my first track day, 20 plus years ago, I found the bike had way more capability than I could imagine through corners and braking. This gives your brain's comfort level a little bit of extra reserve when you might enter a corner a little hot.
Thanks from youngR and maxnne

beautiful helmet. No doubt about that. Only problem is i'm stuck with a 1000 dollar ducati helmet if i sell the bike and ride another manufacturer.

If you like it I say go for it.
Now as for me I have a soft spot for Doohan as I can relate to his injuries and battles.
So Arai has a new Doohan helmet coming out ?

I ended up buying one, the pics don't do it justice, really pleased with it.

The Doohan rep was my next choice, the only thing that put me off was the Koala on the back.
