Talking Installing Shift-Tech's Carbon Fiber Subframe

Prior to my next track days this week I installed the Shift-Tech's ST773 Subframe to my Panigale.

It fits perfect and has a super flawless finish (satin/matte, same structure as DP parts).

There are four things to be aware of:
1. You have to grind the mounting holes for your exhaust heat shield.
2. If you have electronically adjustable suspension, you have to grind a hole for the rear suspension cables and find a way to properly protect them.
3. The holes for the mounting brackets for the fuel tank and the seat are pre-drilled. For proper installation you need some spacers. Since I bought the subframe from a member on this forum, I am not sure whether the spacers would come with the frame, so I had to make them myself. No problem, but time consuming. Tip: connect the spacers with a wire, it makes installation much easier!
4. To avoid harm to the vertical lambda sensor cable, I mounted a little bracket to the subframe allowing me to guide it with a zip tie.

Never ending story....
The next project on this Panigale is going to be a lightweight SBK-like micro-rear/brake light. Maybe there is a way to make it street legal again...

Very nice bike! The carbon fiber and red theme is nice! I got to admit that adding carbon fiber is addictive. maybe I'll sell my subframe cover from shift tech and buy the whole subframe
