Corner Entry Speed Judgement

I can't help but notice both on the street and track I have higher corner entry speeds on right-hand corners vs left-hand corners. I believe it could be a result of several factors in no particular order. Interested in feedback not related to the goddamn motherfucking POS BMW HP4...

1. Cross-eye dominance - I'm right-handed and left-eye dominant with 20/10 vision. Fuck if I know...
2. Left hip flexor slightly stiffer than right. I'm 37 so I spend 20 goddamn minutes stretching before every ride LOL. But this makes no sense as a root cause since I intuitively steer the bike under me more on RHS corners than LHS.
3. Shit technique on RHS corners? see #2 above...but I'm faster despite the negligible lean angle increase. More inclined to say shit technique for LHS.
4. I hang off more on LHS than RHS, maybe I'm crossed up RHS. On LHS corners *I FEEL LIKE * I'm able to look through the corner more, hang off more, and not feel crossed up. However this is no excuse for a lower corner entry speed.
5. TBA

Most people have a stronger side than the other. Mine is right as well. There could be a myriad of reasons (crashed one side more than other), more comfort with throttle control closer than further away, physical ailments, more tracks are clockwise than counter clockwise, on the road, you take rights usually at faster speeds than lefts (oncoming/crossing traffic), etc, etc. .

Hmmm. The majority of my crashes (all track) have been RHS. That is speaking for QUANTITY. The few bike-wadding QUALITY crashes I've had (140mph+) have all been LHS. Maybe I'm just a giant pussy no matter how comfortable I am on a bike? grrrrr

I feel the same.

I find that I'm a lot more comfortable in left-hand turns than RH. I can pick up ref points faster for some reason in LH corners. But, when I did my CSS 2-day school last month my coach said I had much later braking points and much higher corner speed in right-hand turns. Explains why I have a harder time picking up ref points, but can't figure out why I'm slower in left-hand corners where I'm more comfortable.

Agreed. Much more comfortable hanging off LHS but don't understand why I tend to brake harder or at least ride the brake longer into LHS corners that I am much better set-up for. Seems like it might even be reflexive. Not sure. Either way, I have 3/4" chicken strips LHS and zero RHS. It annoys the shit out of me and screams "pussy!" at every ride. LOL. Also would "thank" you for your post but the "thanks" link has never worked for me ever since I joined the forum. :P
