Hi,
I am having the same issue and am a bit relieved it is nothing unique.
Has there been a resolution to this? What are these bits and pieces in the oil and what needs to be done if anything?

In my case, the rubber oring from the site cover (clutch )
fell in the sump (they asume, it happened in the fectory ) and got in the drive gear of the water pump. Shaved about a 1/4 of an inch of that drive gear.
It was still functioning, but it's not a safe situation. You know what happened, when the pump fails. It was repaired and covered by Ducati. Well bike was under warranty still. He was saying, something like 5 hours labor. Lol , it was in July. 5 weeks waiting.
At least, you would have plenty of time to do this.
Good luck
Thanks from Whoopazz

Wouldn't hurt to inspect your air filter.

I've just oil changed a 2012 Panigale with 7000 km on it and found the same small, brown plastic tabs, 6 of them. The engine is raced, and it's been in my care since day one, with oil changes every 1500 km. Never had a trace of crap in the oil before, and I scrutinise the oil carefully like a gold miner panning for gold with every oil change.
I'm stripping another engine fully, but doubt if I'll have time to open this one before testing tomorrow at Barcelona.
It's damn annoying....

they are bearing guides for engine assembly.. ducati claims they harmless but it still freaked me out. I talked to the one rep (eric something) at the ducati revs day at NYST.

First service 1299s. Ceramic teeth off one if the gears in the timing side of the engine. Good tech found them in the oil. Current bike stripped and awaiting reply from Ducati. Anyone else had this issue or heard of it. The bike was run in correctly. 😬

I had it happen to the water pump on my old 1199s. Not ceramic teeth then though. Was no big deal to repair either.
Thanks from crazyinp and Johnnyflies
