Lightbulb RapidBike Master Pro Software Info!

Since we are selling a good amount of the Racing and Evo modules, I figured, people are going to try to explore the software and have some questions that we can discuss here and of course you can always e-mail me!
info@rapidbike.us

1- If your not sure about what to do or you have changed something in software and not sure what it is, just exit out and click on do not save, don't worry you won't loose anything in modules.
2- Do not alter or play or better yet, experiment with Ignition cells
3- I am posting this info, not for you to become a tuner but to become familiar with the software.
4- Your module is shipped to you with a proper map , there is no need to switch or experiment with different maps. If you do please be aware that every ignition map is different and developed AFTER the fuel injection base mapping is completed, again, do not change the ignition mapping at all!!!!

The file location for 1199 is simple to find, when you single click on any files , you will see the corresponding info on the right side of same window.
Now the maps will be for:
*Completely stock bike:
*Completely stock bike with flashed ECU, flashed means in Rb software, NOT rexxer or anything else , it simply means a new or different map for the latest Ducati ECU update.

This one is your Ignition map. Every RB map has a different Igniton mapping done.

Above 2 are your fueling maps, don't focus on that too much and please change the way you view fuel injection maps when you have a RapidBike system, since this is only a starting base map to get you closer to your target, the auto adaptivity is constantly updating it (I should probably say improving) so , more on Auto Adaptivity later.

We are still on the maps screen:
*The top where it says zero is your RPM display, when everything is properly running your RPM should display
*Below that is TPS and the white bar just below the numbers will turn blue if your RB is properly reading your TPS, this has never been an issue with 1199 harness but some other models like the Diavel, it is a bit tricky to get to the proper wire.
*Just the right of TPS, max rpm and max tps is displayed, this is for the dyno sessions, make sure that max rpm and max tps matches with your gauge on the bike , again this will never be an issue with 1199
*Below that, in the separate box, you will also see your TPS voltage for diagnostic purposes.
*The rest is primary, secondary injectors, this is interesting to see on the dyno how much of which set of injectors are being used.
*GET MAP, SEND MAP and SAVE IN FLASH buttons are :
"Get Map" Retrieving the map.
"Send Map" Sends your changes to the module but not permanantly.
"Save in Flash" : You must click on this button before disconnecting the USB cable otherwise all changes are gone, not saved in the module
Thanks from Phl, Stw, Prince Albert and 3 others

We usually recommend downloading the software before the installation of the system and if you have done it so, please check your USB voltage on the bottom of the screen, in this photo it is 4.47 , it means that your computer is communicating with the module only! and does NOT MEAN your bike is.... to check that when you turn the key on, the USB voltage should and will switch to your battery voltage let's say 12 vdc , that confirms, you have all the proper connections, NOTE: it usually takes 3-4 seconds before displaying battery voltage on the bottom, if you don't see the battery voltage, bike won't start and please go back and check your connections!

TIP: RB module gets the power from the stock O2 sensors (this is for 1199-899 only info.) if you have a Rexxer flash or something else done, where the O2 sensors are turned off , you will have to feed the module from somewhere else, I don't want to get in to this detail but we have instructions on that too, so e-mail me if that is the case. Anyways, let's say you sent your ecu back to get it reflashed to OEM stage and still not getting power to RB module and checked alllllllll of your connections please make sure O2 sensors are ACTIVE before starting to chase your own tail.

AUTO ADAPTIVITY SCREEN

1- Upper left corner, make sure there is NO check mark in this box, "unless you have installed My Tuning Modules"
2-This setting number is for panigale. Each O2 sensor and bike model, calibration number is different which basically should not be adjusted at all, but if you are a dyno tuner and would like to know what it is , please e-mail us, without the aid of a dyno machine please do not modify or change this number.
by the way the defult for AFR is about 13.2:1
3-RBo2 Active: this box must be check on all the time, if disabled auto adaptivity future is OFF, only under special conditions such as dyno tuning, running the bike on the dyno for no reason or if you have a ECU flash where you turned off the O2 sensors in ECU and using My Tuning modules. Which by the way you can use "My tuning modules" with your O2 sensors active and running, RB module will detect and switch over when the narrow band O2 sensors get to the operation temp.
4- If any changes or a change is made before leaving this screen you must click on "APPLY" button otherwise nothing is saved.

IMPORTANT

5- when you right click "anywhere" on the map, small "add correction" button will appear, it means : Do you want to add corrections to your base map to make it refined? if yes click on it and you will see that it will reset everything to 0 and do the same thing for the other cylinder and again before leaving the screen DON"T FORGET TO CLICK ON "APPLY"

Now before somebody asks, I thought we didn't have to make any adjustments? well the short answer is no you don't need to, but just like any other tuning system and I will include Ducati upmaps and dealer updates (if it is fuel injection related). Where maps are developed, conditions of the environment when developing, conditions of the bike and some other small factors are in effect. Not one bike is going to need the exact same amount of fuel. So to eliminate those factors, we recommend after at least 200 mile of riding , you should probably look at the changes and add corrections at least for 1 time. Or after a Track day (best time to do it) add correction, that is where you have most consistent conditions and engine temps. But please note: do not add corrections after a dyno run. , reason for that is, running the bike on the dyno machine does not duplicate for the most part (at least for Panigale)actual road/track conditions, especially at high speeds.

This screen also gets you to understand how important it is to treat the each cylinder individually, trim map is never the same and sometimes the number are amazingly different ....
Thanks from topolino, Prince Albert and mordor

This software is quite impressive looking...

So I use to be onboard with purchasing the TuneBoy setup, but due to things I have read have been undecided. I am running a currently stock base 1199, but can certainly tell that fueling is not optimized... So my big question is:

When is a group buy going to happen so I can get this purchased and installed? I hate paying full price for my bike parts and accessories. Easier to justify to the wife when I "got it on sale".

We are offering a forum discount , it is not much but something and free fedex next day or 2 days shipping for USA customer, Canada and other countries it ranges from $50-$65 for shipping, we get the quote directly from USPS web site and add, USPS Express mail.

About the group buy: That needs to be organized by someone on this forum, we are certainly open for it but to be fair to people who already purchased it, I am not sure if it would be a good idea!!!!!!

Thanks

Sorry, those are the immediate folks I know of that actually have great input and I pay mind to when they post. No disrespect to others, as I just cannot pull your names to mind this second.
