I hear ya. It was just a point that some major things have been overlooked on such an expensive bike. The S suspension isn't that good, much better than the crap on the base. The whole electronic adjusters is a gimmick and not useful for true track riders. Which is why I got a base and upgraded the suspension.

So there are incentives to buy S and pay the premium price, of course.
I did. No regret.

Installed the spacers on my track only 1199S last week and finally got to test them out on the track today. WAY better than stock. Does not feel like a hair trigger, just feels like it should have in the first place.

I wish I'd done it sooner.

so reading all the valuable posts here and seeing the advantages of the kit, can i ask why did the manufacturers not built it from the factory with zero slack, or slop?
They're a mass produced unit for several bikes and for a wide market on each. Not everyone wants or can handle an instant response. I imagine it's only a minority of enthusiasts and track goers that want it.

However, Ducati must be well aware of this as they produce and sell the slack removal kit.

I agree, it's not like a quick action throttle, only instant response.

Have you spent any time on a new 1299S at all?
