Another exhaust (termi) question

Hey guys,

New member here. Sorry for asking the question, but I have searched around the forum and I'm not sure if I have found enough information.

Basically I want to run a full termi system on my 1299 panigale s, as we all know a new forward system can run up to $5k or more. So my question is for a full system do I only need 2 parts for the full system? The exhaust manifold and slip on? I found them on eBay part #D155COLLT (exhaust mani) and part #D155102CPT (slip-on). Both parts can be found on eBay together for under $5k...brand new. Also, I was wondering if the ecu needed a tune after install like with a PCV or if the ECU adjusts to the system by itself. Lastly, just to make sure all 959 and 1199 full systems can fit 1299 right? I've been viewing some websites that have exhaust manifolds for 1199 but not for 1299.

My understanding is that all Panigale exhausts will mount to any Panigale motor. There seem to be just a few exhaust systems that wouldn't mount to an 899/959 because some systems take advantage of the extra room provided by the SSSA. For example an OEM system could be swapped out on all bikes. The ID of the 1299/959 is just 2mm larger I believe. There is a guy somewhere on the 959 forum that pieced together a system from 899 and 1199 pieces. So if you keep the system 899/1199 or 959/1299 you should be good.

Thank you for the response, but would you happen to also know the part numbers needed for a forward facing termi system? I'm just curious to why these 2 pieces combined are cheaper than a full system if the exhaust mani and slip on are the only parts needed. I feel like I am missing a part.

I don't know the part numbers but it is my understanding that usually with a slip on you would get a y connector that come with to mate up the slip on to the headers but won't be needed if you also buy their header. I would verify part numbers though in case the header you found is for the older system which may connect at a different point. I am not sure if that is the case though, so maybe someone with experience can chime in, you can contact Termignoni or try to track down the part numbers.

Also another subject I have been trying to figure out, if the old header will match up with the new slipon. Also, I'm curious if anyone knows if I need to run an upmap or a PCV for the system or will my stock ecu adjust?

I just ordered a pair of exhaust parts to have Jet Coated. The 1299 Front Header and 1st Tube section (the one that runs parallel to the ground) are one piece, but are the same size as the 1199 Header and pipe. I have inspected them and they appear to be exactly the same size. Interesting that the 1299 is one complete section instead of a two-piece section.

In case your front exit Termi purchase has not been wrapped up yet, here is an offer at 2.000,- euros. Might be interesting even with overseas shiping.
