On a somber note, a third racer died today at the TT. I love watching ....I mean LOVE watching the TT. But DAMN....this place is truly "ride or die." What do you guys think? Even watching an interview with a "shook" Guy Martin made me wonder.

I used to love watching it , dreamed one day going to see it in person. Over time I've gathered a different perspective .
I think it is bad for road racing in that it makes motorcycle racing seem overly dangerous - even though we all know it is apples and oranges and should not be covered in the same blanket . we also know that is not going to be distinguished by the outsider looking in.

motogp, wsbk, bsb, and ama are all safer than most ball sports , but when you mix the tt in we look like suicidal masochistic idiots to the outside world.

I'd still like to go to a isle o man race though LMAO.

Watch closer to the edge explains it all

Their after that buzz that only the TT can bring, society has cotton wooled everyone.
If I lived in the UK (closer) I know I would do the TT

The TT is the last place on earth where large groups of people in full public view can choose to risk they're lives in pursuit of a dream. The fact that it still exists is almost a miracle. in the center of the nanny state world. Thank GOD the namby pamby cry baby's of the world have not shut it down. The number of people who have passed on the Island in pursuit of excellence is nothing compared to the daily news headline, daily death toll. Three cheers for the IOM TT and the brave men who race it.
Thanks from Twistedracer, Halo2 and Mrdcook2

No,it isnt. You have Northwest,Ulster just to name two other big events. Then A LOT of small places in Ireland running races like Skerries etc etc. Even Finland have a RRR event.
I dont like these races anymore, i feel like it had its golden years.
