No by my logic u have to win to make up points the guy can't win. When u Avg 1 win a year when the championship winner averages 5 how are u competitive. Where do u see him making up 28 points he would have to finish ahead of maverick 6 times in the next 11 races thats if they come in 1-2. The math isn't there unless ur rooting for riders to crash which wouldn't surprise me by rossi fans. I've seen it in person rooting for whatever to have rossi win.

Even marquez is ahead of rossi how is that even possible by giving away 50 points. 50 points think about that and rossi is still behind. Let that sink in and u want to claim he is competitive

I don't think Rossi can be definitively ruled out of a 10th for the remainder of this season or next. And at this point I don't think there's a clear favorite. Factory Honda has had power issues, factory Yamaha has been caught out the last few races, factory Ducati has won the last two. This would be unheard of two seasons ago. Throw in Petrux, Zarco etc and that adds a whole other level.

If there is any consistency this season it's that there is none.

Worse, (and I love this guy) Collin Edwards on Factory Yamaha. 196 starts, zero wins. Again Pedrosa and if you're not going to give the financial nod as "viable" in retaining Rossi then you shouldn't factor some "connection" to retaining Pedrosa. He has to go as well. Also by this logic, Biaggi should have never been on a factory bike but for some reason Yamaha thought otherwise. I also like Ben Spies but regardless of the sabotage theory, he was never going to win a GP championship yet got the factory ride.

Oh you do know Pedrosa has more wins than rossi since 2013

How do u make up points people? U have to win or consistently beat your competition baring crashes how is he making up 28 points on maverick hell if marquez doesnt crash anymore I'd say he won't catch marquez. Why do I say that? Because marquez consistently finishes better than rossi if he finishes a race. How do I know this because he is ahead of rossi AND gave away 50 points already.

Yea factory Honda has issues. Yet won the title last year. Come to think of it 57 percent of the titles were Honda Stoner or marquez. Other 43 percent was Lorenzo. where is rossi hellooooo hellooooo.

a mere 2 races ago Rossi was LEADING. why so obtuse?

and your belief (feelings) that Rossi is incapable of winning a single race going forward is idiotic, probability-wise speaking that is.

he can win once, podium the rest and top 2 riders can crash/mechanical failure/fall back hard/etc. it is possible. not probable. but possible. ergo, he is competitive. ergo, you are obtuse.
