Oberon clutch slave cylinder review

Installed to solve the issue of air in the clutch system which I had in all Ducati models if I remember right. Always used STM slave cylinders as aftermarket and always issued was solved. In the case of Panigale I had clutch issues from day 1 and bled the system every 500kms.

A bit disappointed with their (Oberon) new slave cylinder to be honest and suprised as I know they make good products. After 2 months and 1000 kms I have again excess play in my clutch lever. Neutral is hard to find and after a long ride today I lost my clutch completely which really pissed me off in traffic lights. I checked installation of the cylinder, clutch discs/ plates for any wear, fluid was new anyway DOT4 and nothing (no leaks either). The new slave cylinder hasnt solved the problem as it should. Fluid is a bit darker but nothing similar to the stock cylinder.

Anyone else with Oberon clutch sylinder installed?

Thanks

I've got oberon on multiple bikes including the SL, they work flawlessly.
I would recommend you to go to your dealer, he should borrowing you an old master clutch cylinder (they are all the same on the newer ducati models). Installation takes 30mins. Check whether the problems disappear...

I had very strange problems this year with a new 1200S monster and I could find the problem this way. Sometimes brembo masters have an "internal" leaking. After finding the real cause, Ducati exchanged the original cylinder under warranty. No issues since then (BTW also Oberon slave installed).

Its been a know issue for the Pani since 2012 that the Brembo OEM master sometimes has internal leaking. Ducati will change the internal seals of the OEM master.

I've changed to the Oberon Slave and the Brembo RCS master and I haven't had a problem or bled the clutch since. The clutch works flawless with more feel and one/two finger pull.

I've got a CNC slave on the Tricolore: works like a charm (has now 10000km on it).

I Ride: ducs and a xr650l
My clutch fluid was kinda like rum and coke and the clutch sucked finding the "N"
NOw its been flushed and looks like vodka with a nice smooth shift. Sadly only 3500 on the dial and it seemed very necessarily.
Thanks from kickarsmann

4 Oberon (SL, 1199S, M1200S, MV F4) and 1 CNC Racing (1199 Tricolore).
No complains at all, they all work perfect. No leak, no discoloration of the hydraulic fluids, no bleeding required at all.
Thanks from kickarsmann and GunMoto
